TheCytoCaptureH250-100andH250-100,LCAproductsaredesignedforcellbasedassaysandhighresolutionlifecellimagingofcellclusterandcellspheroidsorco-cultureanalysis.Auniformarrayofhexagonalpolymercavitieslaysontopofthecoverglassbottomsofthesespecializedcellcultureandimagingconsumables.Individualcavitieshaveadistancefromsurroundingwalltowallof250μm.ThewallthicknessIs10μm.HeightofthewallsIs100μm.Thewallsofthecavitieserrectstraightuprightfromthebottom(F-shape).Seededcellssedimentspontaneouslyinsidethemicrocavities.Themicrocavitiesareetherhydrophilic(130-098-298)orcoatedwithaLowCellAdhesion(LCA)surface(130-098-299).Thegeometryofthecavitiesallowsgroupsofcellstoenter.Onthehydrophilicsurfacethecellsarekeptincolonies.OntheLCAsurfacecelladhesiontothesurfacesissuppressedandthecellsformspontaneouslyspheroids.Withinthesecavitiesthespheroidsareprotectedfromgeneralfluidconvectionwithinthecellcultureconsumable.Themicrocavitiesallowthatthecellclustersorspheroidscanbetrackedoverdayswithoutmajorchangeoftheirposition.Themicrocavitiesallowalsoabettersizecontrolandhomogenoussizedistributionofthespheroids.
