TheCytoCaptureS500-100,LCAproductsaredesignedforcellbasedassaysandhighresolutionlifecellimagingofcellspheroids.Auniformarrayofsquaretypepolymercavitieslaysontopofthecoverglassbottomsofthesespecializedcellcultureandimagingconsumables.Individualcavitieshaveadistancefromsurroundingwalltowallof500μm.ThewallthicknessIs15μm.HeightofthewallsIs100μm.Thewallsofthecavitieserrectstraightuprightfromthebottom(F-shape).Seededcellssedimentspontaneouslyinsidethemicrocavities.ThemicrocavitiesarecoatedwithaLowCellAdhesion(LCA)surface.Thegeometryofthecavitiesallowsgroupsofcellstoenter.Becausecelladhesiontothesurfacesissuppressedthecellsformspontaneouslyspheroids.Withinthesecavitiesthespheroidsareprotectedfromgeneralfluidconvectionwithinthecellcultureconsumable.Themicrocavitiesallowthatthespheroidscanbetrackedoverdayswithoutmajorchangeoftheirposition.Themicrocavitiesallowalsoabettersizecontrolandhomogenoussizedistributionofthespheroids.
