Application
Dry form of DOWEX OPTIPORE® L493, used for vapor applications: volatile organics and hazardous air pollutants. The resin is more hydrophobic than activated carbon, and does not exhibit catalytic activity. Formerly known as XUS-43493.01.
Dowex Optipore® V-493 was used in determination of cadmium(II) and lead(II) after their solid phase extraction as dibenzyldithiocarbamate chelates by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.
General description
Dowex Optipore® V-493 is a polystyrene-divinylbenzene hydrophobic resin. It has large surface area, exhibit high capacity for organic compounds and with good desorption properties, performs better at low metal concentrations.
