Generaldescription

TheOMIisapolishingpurifierthatremovesmanycontaminantsthatotherupstreampurifiersmiss.ItwillsimultaneouslyandirreversIBLyremovemoisture,oxygen,carbonmonoxide,carbondioxide,mostsulfurcompounds,mosthalogencompounds,alcohols,andphenolstolessthan10ppb.ItisrecommendedthatanOMIbeinstalledincarriergasstreamsjustupstreamofeveryGC.Itconsistsoftwocomponents:
• Are-useabletubeholderthatisinstalledintothegasdeliverysystem.Theuseofpolycarbonateprovidessee-throughcapABIlityalongwithsafety.
• Apurifiertubecontaininganindicatingresin(changescolorfromblacktobrownwhenexposedtoaslittleas1ppmofmoistureoroxygen).Theuseofglassprovidessee-throughcapabilityandpreventsdiffusionofroomcontaminantsintothegasstream.

Spentpurifiertubesareeasilyreplaced.Simplyunscrewtheendassemblyfromthetubeholderandreplaceitwithanewpurifiertube.Thedesignpreventsroomairfromenteringthenewtubeduringinstallation(protectivefoilcoversoneachendareonlyPiercedastheendassemblyisscrewedbackontothetubeholdertocompleteinstallation).

OMI^®TubeHolderholdstheOMI^®purifiertubewhichsimultaneouslyremovesoxygen,watervapor,CO,CO₂,mostsulfurcompounds,mosthalogencompounds,alcohols,phenolstolessthan10ppb.Italsopurifieshelium,hydrogen,nitrogen,argonandmethane.Colorchangeindicatespurifierexhaustion.Glassbodydoesnotdiffuseairoroff-gas.FurThermore,itisidealforHall,ECDandGC/MSdetectionsystems.OMI^®-4purifierprotectsmultipleinstruments(threetimesthecapacityofOMI^®-2tubes).
