Preparation Note
This PT sample is as a 2mL concentrate.
The solvent for this sample is n-propanol.
The sample is suitable for methods EPA 1664, SM 5520B and other gravimetric methods. It is not suitable for IR methods.
The PT sample has not been preserved.
Sample Preparation
To prepare solution, add 994mL of reagent-grade water and 5mL of 1:1 Hydrochloric Acid to a 2L separatory funnel.
Open ampule PE1083-2ML (be careful to avoid cuts on glass) and transfer 1.0mL of concentrate to the separatory funnel.
Mix well.
The sample is now ready for immediate analysis.
The sample should be analyzed with an approved gravimetric method because it is not suitable for an infrared method.
For calculations, assume that initial sample volume was 1000mL.
