Preparation Note

The PT sample has been heat sterilized.

Sample Preparation
This sample should be digested using USEPA method 3050, 3051 or equivilent methods. Perform the sample digestion on an appropriate amount of sample according to the selected digestion procedure. The recommended minimum sampling size is 0.5 grams. It is recommended that approximately one gram of the soil be digested. Determination of the percent moisture content of the material is required. This PT sample contains 26 NELAC metals plus several other metals listed on the report form.

Determine the metals present. It is not necessary to report all metals; only report the metals of interest. You may report as many methods as required by making copies of the forms or reporting online. The evaluation of results will be based on study statistics for equivalent methods. Report all results on a dry weight basis.
